The City of Hobart is supporting an exhibition and auction on the theme of childhood, to raise money and awareness of Gaza Children’s Cinema, a charity/project that gives children in Palestine the opportunity to experience, and engage with, the wonder and joy of cinema.
This project promotes and embraces the right to curiosity and playfulness for all children, and the link between humanity and creativity.
The exhibition will be held from 18 September until 22 September and the auction will take place on Friday 21 September at 6 pm at the Waterside Pavillion, Mawson Place, Argyle Street.
The auction will be opened by Senator Lisa Singh.

Gaza Children Cinema is a self-funded independent community initiative with no faith or political affiliation. It was iniated by two professionals in Gaza- Palestine in 2013 to provide children in Gaza with spaces for self-expression, entertainment and active participation.
Help us in reaching more children in Gaza through donating to this initiative. In 2016, we crowdfunded this initative by raising 6,000 US dollars. Using this fund we established a partnership with 7 community based organizations through a key non-governmental organization in Gaza (Tamer Institute For Community Education)
